Aadhaar Enabled Payment System lets your customers do real banking transactions using only their Aadhaar number + fingerprint. No card, no ATM, no branch visit needed.
AEPS — Aadhaar Enabled Payment System is an RBI-regulated banking service that allows any Indian citizen to perform basic banking transactions at a local merchant point using only their Aadhaar number and biometric fingerprint.
As a PayBazaar merchant, you become a Banking Correspondent (BC) Agent — a mini-bank for your community. You serve customers who cannot easily access bank branches, ATMs, or digital banking, and earn commission on every transaction you process.
Four powerful banking services you can offer customers right from your shop.
Customer can withdraw cash from their bank account using Aadhaar + fingerprint — no ATM or card needed.
Customer can check their bank account balance anytime using Aadhaar authentication — simple and secure.
Customer can view their last 5–10 transactions right at your counter — a passbook substitute on the go.
Transfer funds from one Aadhaar-linked bank account to another — completely biometric, no account numbers needed.
The customer walks into your merchant point needing banking services. No prior appointment or documents needed — just their Aadhaar number.
At Merchant PointYou enter the customer's 12-digit Aadhaar number on the PayBazaar app and select the transaction type (withdrawal, balance, etc.).

Yes. The customer's Aadhaar must be seeded (linked) with their bank account for AEPS to work. This can be done at their home branch, via net banking, or through the bank's mobile app. Without Aadhaar linking, AEPS transactions will fail.
As per RBI guidelines, the maximum AEPS cash withdrawal is ₹10,000 per transaction and up to ₹50,000 per day per customer (subject to individual bank limits). Some banks may have lower limits.
AEPS requires a minimum 2G/GPRS internet connection to authenticate with UIDAI and process transactions. It works in most rural areas as long as basic mobile data is available. Pure offline AEPS is not possible as real-time biometric authentication is required.
PayBazaar supports all UIDAI-certified biometric devices including Morpho (Idemia), Mantra, Startek, SecuGen, and other RD-certified models. USB and Bluetooth models are both supported. Contact our team for device recommendations and purchase assistance.
In rare cases of technical failure where the account is debited but cash is not dispensed, the amount is automatically reversed to the customer's bank account within 24–72 hours as per RBI dispute resolution guidelines. Report such incidents to our support team immediately with the Transaction ID.
Yes, AEPS is completely safe. Biometric fingerprint data is never stored on the merchant's device — it is only used for real-time authentication with UIDAI's secure servers.
